Fan Coil Units

Dunham Bush fan coil units (FCUs) are high-performance, low-noise systems that circulate and condition air using a fan and a heating/cooling coil. Key features include galvanized steel construction, high-quality fans with thermal overload protection, and energy-efficient hydrophilic-coated coils made from seamless copper tubes. Specifications include a wide airflow range (100 to 1940 CFM), options for 2 or 3 rows of coils, and various configurations like ceiling concealed, wall-mounted, or cassette types.

Description

Purpose: To provide heating and cooling by circulating existing air in a space through a fan and coil system.

Construction: Units are constructed from high-quality galvanized steel sheets, with PE foam lining to prevent air leaks and reduce vibration.

Fans: They use a robust, lightweight, double-width, double-inlet centrifugal fan designed for durability and low sound levels.

Motors: The fans are typically powered by 3-speed, single-phase permanent split capacitor motors with built-in thermal overload protection, though some series also offer high-efficiency DC motors.

Coils: Coils are made of 3/8″ seamless copper tubes with corrugated, hydrophilic-coated fins for improved heat transfer and condensation drainage.

Modularity: They come in factory-packaged units and are available in different configurations and series (e.g., CR series, CR-CF series) to suit various installation needs.
